FAQ: Schedule Policies

FS Sentry Schedule Polices allow for events or requests to be initiated at pre-determined time intervals. These scheduled requests can be used to trigger other content policies or external resources. Additionally, request or response processing can be applied to the transactions. 

 

 

 

Schedule policies are available under GATEWAY --> Content Policies --> Schedules

 

 

 

  • The schedule policy begins immediately after it's been created/enabled.
  • When a time interval field is used (seconds, minutes, hours, or days), the first request will be triggered one interval length after the policy is enabled/created.
  • When the "Daily at" option is used, the first instance will be triggered at the next time the time setting is set to.
  • If the Sentry instance is rebooted, the time schedule is reset, and the policy begins to send message again according to the configured settings. For example, if the time interval is set to 1 hour and Sentry is rebooted 10 minutes after enabling the policy, the next message will be sent 1 hour after Sentry is back online.
